Random Friday Post

This week, I started my 8-weeks Beginner Japanese crash course! The classes are taught via Zoom, and we are about 28-or-so people. Sayaka Sensei (founder of NihongoDekita) teaches in a fun way, and the first class was wonderful! We learned basic introductions phrases and practice it in pairs.

I couldn't sleep after the class because my brain wanted to keep learning Japanese.

Sayaka also writes blog posts about Japanese learning over at NihongoDekita's blog: https://nihongodekita.com/blog/

There's also a YouTube channel.

First painting of the year

It took me a while to finish it, but I finally did it. This photo study of mayu from NEMOPHILA was more challenging than previously anticipated, but once I managed to get comfortable with the style I wanted, it was a stress-free process. 😄

Once again thanks to Jonathan Lane for allowing me to use his shot as reference. Check out his amazing work as well!

Tsubasa wo Kudasai

I didn't know this song. I guess this song became more popular after it was featured on the Evangelion anime's OST, but don't quote me on that. There's something about the melody that's so catchy and fascinating.

Little I didn't know that even BABYMETAL has a cover of Tsubasa wo Kudasai:

See ya!
