No LightBox Expo for me this year

I still remember the temptation to decide whether I'd buy the tickets for LightBox Expo 2019 (LBX 19) or not. I remember I spent weeks, overthinking whether I should go or not, whether it was worth it or not. I ended up taking the risk, and I regret nothing!

LBX 2019 was the first art event I attended to, and impacted me in so many ways.

LBX 2020 and 2021 were held online, due you know what, and you know, as any other online event, it has its advantages, but also the biggest disadvantages ever; you don't have real human connection. However, it was inspiring to watch countless talks from other artists.

Last year, LBX 2022 was back as an in-person event, again, back in Pasadena – CA. I bought my tickets as soon as they went on sale, and of course, it was magical. Even though I was kinda sick in one of the days, it was another magical experience.

So, of course, I was going to LBX 2023 as well. I bought my tickets, booked my flight and my hotel, I was really looking forward to this year's LBX, but reality kicks you right in the face, and every so often you have to make some tough decisions.

My tough decision was to cancel my trip to LBX this year, it was either that or the risk to compromising the schedule of my final college animation project.

Well, it is what it is.

I'll be back next year!
