NEMOPHILA - Apple of my eye release tour - Hiroshima

Show report

A little over a year after seeing NEMOPHILA live for the first time at Nippon Budokan, I had the opportunity to see them perform again, this time in Hiroshima.

Concert info

NEMOPHILA is currently touring Japan to promote the new album Apple of my eye. In Hiroshima, the show was at CLUB QUATTRO, a small concert venue located on the 10th floor of a small shopping mall. Quite peculiar, I would say.

Now with one less guitarist, NEMOPHILA shows even more repertoire, especially live, with Mayu (vocalist) playing guitar too (although in this show she only played guitar in one song (Beautiful days), but hey, it's something).

Although I didn't really like the new album, it's far from bad, it's quite daring and different from the first 3. The songs change live, it even seems that some were produced with the live experience in mind, which seems a bit obvious and is probably true.

Where are the pics?

Well, as usual, photography is not allowed during concerts in Japan. The only photo I took was before the show started, and as we can see, even though I was at the back of the dance floor, I was still close to the stage.

My view of the show, just before it started

The photos below are from the NEMOPHILA's official platforms.

Setlist

A very balanced setlist, I dare say, with songs from all the studio albums, including all the songs from the new album.

Just Do It!
Dissension
ANATADARE
ERROR DETECTION
RISE
A Ray Of Light
OSKR
AKAKAGACHI
鬼灯 - Hozuki
Beautiful days
BRAINWASH
Burn It
G.O.D
PROGRESS
雷霆 -RAITEI-
REVIVE
Good as hell quartet

Burn It, my favorite song from the new album, it's even better live, and I could be wrong, but it seems like they played it a little slower. Not a problem for me, just an observation.

Shorts com alguns trechos do show

Overall, great show! Lots of fun, and this was their first time playing in Hiroshima, so it had that special factor too.
