Blaugust challenge

Earlier today I saw Jedda's post about this challenge called Blaugust, where essentially the goal is to write a blog post per day, in August. Well, so here I am, writing this post.

Who am I?

Since the idea of the first post is to be more like a self introduction, hey, my name is Lucas da Silva, and I am an (aspiring) artist—among other things— based in Brazil. Aspiring because I'm not a pro, yet.

I love painting, like, I really love painting! I love painting portraits. I simply can't describe how much I love that!

Currently I'm working towards developing my skills to one day, who knows when, work as a concept artist/character designer/or anything between these lines.

Prior to that, during 10+ years, I was a Software Developer focused on Frontend Development. After a few burnouts and a layoff back in 2022, I decided to give a chance to myself, and dedicate myself to develop my art skills and craftsmanship.

About this blog

I describe my blog as a "A multiverse of randomness, but mostly art related stuff." and that's pretty much what it is. I tend to write about whatever I feel like, sometimes I think about sharing some painting process here, maybe I should start doing that. Anyways, this is my blog, my small corner to post whatever is on my mind.

Recently I started a little feed/notes experiment, which you can find it over here: https://lucas.art/notes/

That's all for now. Here, enjoy this picture I took on my morning walking:
